CLCV Member, 

We are excited to announce that as of September 22, 2021, the California League of Conservation Voters (CLCV) has officially changed its name to California Environmental Voters (EnviroVoters).

Since its founding in 1972, our organization’s mission has evolved from focusing primarily on conservation, to include protecting the environment and fighting the climate crisis. Voters across party lines agree these are top priorities. We believe the name California Environmental Voters improves our ability to engage a broad spectrum of voters and the public, across every demographic, in our work, allowing us to attract more members, volunteers, activists, and donors in our efforts to turnout voters to support environmental champions and hold lawmakers accountable to solving the climate crisis through bold, equitable climate action. We need everyone in the Golden State in the fight against climate change, and California Environmental Voters best reflects who we are today and our future efforts.

We want to acknowledge the leaders, volunteers, board members, donors, and partners who have helped to build our organization into what it is today. Because of your commitment and efforts, our organization has grown into a trusted, respected, and valued voice in politics and advocate for the environment over the last 49 years. We are excited to continue to work with you in our next phase of growth and further expand California Environmental Voters to protect our air, water, land and communities and build the political power to solve the climate crisis in a way that is just and sustainable for all.
