Earlier this week, we learned the breaking news that the Supreme Court will be hearing a case that is a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade.
This is not a drill: abortion access is under attack.
After the Court’s silence on Texas’ radical six-week abortion ban, we know this is going to be an uphill battle. We’re going to need every ally possible in the fight to defend abortion and reproductive rights.
As a proud Board Member of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, Ro has always stood by and advocated for everyone’s right to reproductive health care, including abortion. Even before he was elected to office, Ro has made it clear that abortion is a fundamental constitutional right that is protected under the 14th Amendment, and should be safeguarded as a matter of privacy.
We cannot allow fifty years of constitutional protections ensured by Roe v. Wade to expire in the shadows. Together we must fight the ban in Texas, any harmful decision that comes out of SCOTUS, and all unconstitutional abortion bans so that everyone has the autonomy to make their own health care decisions.
