Friend: You know how important it was to win back Senate control last year – you worked your heart out to support our battleground race in Michigan. Now, we're seeing that winning elections makes a difference: Together with Joe Biden, Senate Democrats have taken huge steps to cut taxes for families, rebuild the economy and protect the future of the planet.

But protecting that majority now is equally as important as winning it back was last year. Control of the Senate is so razor-thin that Republicans only need to flip one seat to take back control for Mitch McConnell. Let me tell you, I've had a front-and-center seat to McConnell's obstruction when Republicans were in the majority. We cannot let him pull the strings in Congress, which is why I'm writing to you today.

CNN just named my friends Catherine Cortez Masto (NV), Maggie Hassan (NH), Mark Kelly (AZ) and Rev. Raphael Warnock (GA) the most vulnerable Democratic senators up for reelection. We need to do everything we can to win these races, so I'm personally asking:  Will you give $5 or more right now – anything you can spare before midnight tonight – to help us hold these seats and defend our Democratic Senate majority?

Taking back control in the Senate wasn't about politics, it was about building a working majority to deliver the progress that the American people urgently deserve and mandated of us. With Democrats in charge of the Senate, we're pushing through historic investments in everything from health care to infrastructure. Take it from me: Catherine, Maggie, Mark and Rev. Warnock have been instrumental in these efforts. Without their leadership, we would not have achieved all we have so far this year.

That's why I'm asking you to help my colleagues win their battleground Senate races and defend our Democratic Senate majority. Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight has reported that Republicans are favored to retake the Senate for Mitch McConnell – and with the GOP already spending MILLIONS in these battleground states, we don't have a minute to waste.
