The George W. Bush Presidential Center is proud to participate in the Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day on September 23, alongside many nonprofits doing important work in North Texas. This 18-hour online giving event is designed to empower every person to give back in one easy-to-use-platform. Out of Many, One: Portraits of America’s Immigrants:
This powerful collection of 43 portraits painted by President George W. Bush includes accompanying stories that exemplify the promise of America and our proud history as a Nation of immigrants. Out of Many, One reminds us of the countless ways in which America has been strengthened by those who have come here in search of a better life.

Immigration Policy:
Every year that goes by without reforming the United States immigration system means a missed opportunity to ensure the future prosperity, vitality, and security of our Nation. Take a look at our policy recommendations.

The Story of U.S.:
Immigration has always been an important part of our Nation’s history, but the value immigrants bring to our country isn’t limited to the immigrants themselves. In the George W. Bush Presidential Center’s new podcast, The Story of U.S., we talk to the children of immigrants, learn more about their families’ stories, and celebrate how the rich diversity of new American families strengthens our communities – across generations. A Conversation with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger:
In April, President Bush and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger discussed the need for comprehensive immigration reform in our country. This discussion complements the publication of President Bush’s book, Out of Many, One: Portraits of America’s Immigrants.

Stand-To 2021: A National Veterans Convening
Stand-To Policy Recommendations
In February, leaders from the public, private, nonprofit, and philanthropic sectors came together to collaborate on how best to support post-9/11 veterans. We examined research and possible solutions and offered policy recommendations to equip veterans with the support necessary to continue their service as leaders to our country. In a special evening of remembrance and reflection at Engage at the Bush Center, Presented by Highland Capital Management, guests viewed the new Apple TV+ documentary, 9/11: Inside the President's War Room. Watch President Bush’s remarks and take a look at the photo recap from the evening.

A Commitment to Conservation:
In May, we hosted an Engage at the Bush Center, Presented by Highland Capital Management event celebrating President and Mrs. Bush’s commitment to conservation and unveiling of a significant update of the oceans exhibit in the permanent collection of the George W. Bush Presidential Museum.
