My mom raised my sisters and me by herself.

I grew up facing economic insecurity.

I enlisted in the military because I love this country.

I never imagined that one day I would be a Congressman.

That’s why I don’t take this job for granted, not for a single day.

To protect immigrants and refugees

To preserve unemployment insurance and Social Security

To ensure we do everything we can to get people vaccinated and beat back COVID-19

To restore voting rights so that we live up to our democratic ideals

This is the America I want to see, that I know you want to see too. I’m fighting hard in Congress for every American’s opportunity to succeed -- but I need your support to beat back Republicans’ expensive attacks.
