For 20 years, our Afghan partners worked alongside our troops. They fought with us to accomplish our missions in Afghanistan with the understanding that if they stood with us, we would have their back when they needed it.
We can’t go back on our promise to support those who risked everything for our safety. The war might be over, but we can’t leave our friends and partners behind.
Jason has been a leader in efforts to evacuate and welcome our Afghan partners. Earlier this summer, he passed two bills to expedite the Special Immigrant Visa program and he won’t stop working until we have the resources and support we need in order to welcome each and every ally that fought for our country.
As a former Army Ranger and Afghanistan veteran, this is personal for Jason. Let’s follow his leadership, for the sake of those who need it most.
