We know that the myth that children cannot be severely impacted by the disease is not true, and now more than ever we must protect our community by getting vaccinated and masking up. Children's Hospital New Orleans had to request federal assistance from the United States Department of Health and Human Services to handle the number of patients they were seeing for the coronavirus.
Mayor Cantrell is forever grateful for the efforts and sacrifices that the New Orleans Medical Community has made to help get this pandemic under control.
We owe it to the medical personnel of our city to do our part to prevent the spread of the virus, so roll up your sleeves and put on your mask to protect one another.
