Friend,
The head of the United Nations referred to the most recent report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change as a “code red for the planet.”
From devastating floods to dangerous wildfires, one thing is clear -- the climate crisis is already here. Failure to act now jeopardizes the livelihoods of future generations.
That’s why we’ve spent the summer calling on Congress to pass bold climate solutions in the Build Back Better Act. We’re so close to the finish line, but we can’t let up just yet.
Tell Congress: Protect our climate and our future. Keep bold climate action in the Build Back Better Act: [link removed]
At this very moment, Congress is finalizing the text of the upcoming budget bill. The fate of everything we’ve advocated for will be decided in the coming days. Today, we’re joining with artists and partner organizations to tell Congress to take action.
With a simple majority vote, Democrats can pass a budget that will implement a national clean energy standard, create a new Civilian Climate Corps, and boost tax incentives for clean energy and help us phase out fossil fuels.
Wealthy corporations and polluters are desperately trying to scale back the Build Back Better Act and cut these essential climate solutions. Congress can’t afford to miss this once-in-a-generation opportunity to make urgent investments in climate justice and clean energy.
Send a message to Congress: It’s code red for the planet. Pass the Build Back Better Act with ambitious climate solutions: [link removed]
Thank you,
Lillie Catlin
