Friend,

After a natural disaster, you might find me on location working alongside our teams as they assess damages and respond. It’s my job to keep our global community updated about what’s happening on the ground. I’m proud to share how Mercy Corps collaborates with communities and creates effective, locally led programs that both address immediate needs and result in real, lasting change.

Start a monthly contribution today. You can help build a more stable future where everyone can prosper.

  Haiti

Haiti, 2021

Mercy Corps has worked in Haiti for more than a decade. Our relationships with local partners and years of expertise meant that after the most recent 7.2 magnitude earthquake, we were ready to assist. We’ve already supplied 15,000+ people with essentials and will be providing cash assistance to thousands of families.

  Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico, 2017

We continue to help Puerto Ricans recover from the effects of Hurricane Maria. Today, they are better prepared for future disasters: 17 local community centers known as "Resilience Hubs" are now stocked with solar energy, emergency kits, and potable water storage to prepare nearly 100,000 people in at-risk areas.

  Nepal

Nepal, 2015

After the 2015 earthquakes, Mercy Corps distributed relief kits and cash transfers, reaching over 114,000 people. Mercy Corps continues to help communities in Nepal adapt to the effects of climate change with programs to improve agriculture and livelihoods.

Our teams around the world work tirelessly to protect people, homes, and livelihoods in the short and long term after a natural disaster occurs. Your contributions help us continue this important work to provide safer, more promising futures for communities in recovery. Please, take a moment today to help us prepare for and respond to emergencies and natural disasters for years to come.
