Ron Johnson in 2022 Wisconsin U.S. Senate race. ([ [link removed] ]RSVP to meet Mandela
TOMORROW on Zoom. Or, [ [link removed] ]donate to Mandela's campaign.)

We’re thrilled to kick off our 2022 Meet The Candidates program with one
of the most important races in the country -- the U.S. Senate race in
Wisconsin. In this 10-way primary, polling shows Lt. Governor Mandela
Barnes is the clear front-runner and he’s best positioned to defeat the
worst and one of the most vulnerable Republican Senators -- Ron Johnson.

[ [link removed] ]YOU’RE INVITED TO MEET MANDELA! Click here to RSVP for our Meet The
Candidates virtual event with Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes TOMORROW:
Thursday, September 23, at 6pm ET -- hear directly from Mandela and ask
him the questions that are important to you! Thank you to our friends at
Way to Lead for co-hosting this event with us!

A donation is not required to attend, but Mandela’s first FEC fundraising
deadline is Sept. 30. Political insiders will look at his fundraising as
he faces self-funding millionaires. So we hope you will consider making a
donation to his campaign after Thursday’s Zoom -- [ [link removed] ]or now if you can’t
make the event.

Forbes 40 Under 40 describes Mandela as "a rising star in the party." NBC
reports "Barnes, a top contender in the race and a rising star in the
party, has frequently talked about his support for Medicare for All, the
Green New Deal, and making corporations and wealthy people pay their fair
share... Progressive groups like Democracy for America, the Progressive
Change Campaign Committee and the Working Families Party all endorsed his
candidacy within hours of its existence. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.,
one of the Senate's most prominent progressives, endorsed Barnes this
week."

[ [link removed] ]You can meet Mandela Barnes this Thursday and ask him questions.

In 2022, Ron Johnson is one of the most vulnerable Republican Senators.
This is 1 of 3 Republican Senate seats Cook Political Report rates as a
"toss up" -- and the only one that is not an open seat. Since 2016,
Republicans have lost 11 out of 12 statewide elections in Wisconsin.
Johnson is also one of the worst Republican senators -- he praises Putin
and denies climate change. He has spread so much disinformation about
COVID and vaccines that YouTube banned him. Wisconsin’s biggest newspaper
calls Ron Johnson "fundamentally dangerous."

With voting rights, abortion rights, climate change, and economic justice
on the line every day, expanding our Senate majority by even one seat
would have a big impact. It would make it so that no one senator had the
power to veto Democrats’ whole agenda.

Putting forward a progressive who will excite voters and drive turnout is
key. That’s Mandela.

[ [link removed] ]RSVP HERE to meet Wisconsin’s front-runner and rising star, and ask
him your questions on Thursday, September 23 at 6pm ET! (If you can’t make
it, you can boost his first FEC fundraising report by [ [link removed] ]donating here.)

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
