It’s unacceptable that Trump is visiting Pittsburgh for a
fracking conference just days away from the one year commemoration of
the murder of 11 Jews at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh by a
white nationalist gunman.
We knew then that Trump and his enablers were responsible for
spreading the lies and fear that incited violence in Pittsburgh — and
they’ve only doubled down in the last year, leading to more violence
and deaths.
On Sunday, our leaders joined with allies and their State
Representative to tell Trump that he is not welcome in Pittsburgh.
Today, they are putting their bodies on the line to show that if
our leaders won’t act to keep us safe, we will. Our solidarity will
build a country where we all belong – no matter our race, or our
religion, or how long we’ve been here.
