"Texas Senate opens redistricting debate with proposed map one senator calls 'intentional discrimination'"
We knew getting fair maps in Texas would be a battle, and so far Republicans are proving us right. Their proposed state Senate map:
- → Has ZERO competitive seats
- → Ignores the fact that Texas's population growth came from people of color and was centered in urban and suburban communities
- → Cracks apart urban centers like Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio
It's an abomination -- and we need your immediate help to show we will not accept this in Texas or anywhere in the country.
