🚨After the last year and a half of disasters in public schools—from closures pushed by teachers unions to radical curriculum based on Critical Race Theory—policymakers are now seeking to expand the government’s reach so they can meddle in the upbringing of our country’s youngest children too. Parents disgusted with public schools’ failures should reject the idea of putting the government in charge of daycare and preschool.

One of the few things Congress seems to be able to garner bipartisan support for these days is a virtue-signal laden bonanza for trial lawyers. The “Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Act” is being championed by New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, but has, in the past, garnered Republican co-sponsors and support. The Act’s major consequence, however, will not be protecting women from sexual assault or harassment, but padding, once again, the pockets of the profession of about a third of the House of Representatives and the majority of the Senate. This year, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) posted a blanket “Harmful Language Alert” on its website for U.S. government documents, including on pages displaying the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence. Recommendations in the report include no longer using the language “Charters of Freedom” for the Rotunda, and development of a style guide to “denote anti-racist terminology."

The battle over whether schools must allow student athletes who were born male to compete on women’s sports teams seems destined to be resolved in court. At issue are two conflicting interpretations of Title IX. Supporters of trans-inclusion in women’s sports, including the ACLU and the Biden administration, argue that the statute’s prohibition of discrimination “on the basis of sex” includes discrimination on the basis of gender identity.
