Texas Is Ready has released a community toolkit that serves as a guide for Texas parents, students, and community members to support health education in their school districts. Download it today!
The Texas Is Ready Coalition held a collaborative meeting on Wednesday, September 15, where both Texas-based and national sex ed training and technical assistance providers received a high-level overview of the current policy landscape, learned about how Texas Is Ready is preparing school districts and communities to implement the newly adopted sex ed TEKS, and completed a survey to convey interest and ideas for a Texas Is Ready service-delivery directory.
In addition, Texas Is Ready will host a webinar education session for members of the Texas Association of School Boards on October 7, highlighting the recent policy changes as they relate to sex ed in Texas, as well as the resources available to help school districts and communities implement quality sex ed to Texas students. Texas Is Ready will also present and exhibit at TASB | TASA txEDCON21, in Dallas, on September 24 and September 25.
