A Note from Sharice:
Right now, everyone is talking about our desperate need to invest in infrastructure after decades of neglect, especially here in Kansas — anyone who has driven down US 69 knows that. The bipartisan infrastructure bill will create good paying jobs right here in Kansas, tackle climate change, and build a foundation for future growth.
Now that the Senate has passed it and the House is considering it, I’m calling on my colleagues to vote in favor of it. If signed into law, the infrastructure deal will create 2 million new jobs each year and bring $3.8 billion to Kansas for everything from roads and bridges to internet and water. We must act now to invest in our future.

In late July, I met with students in the Young Entrepreneurs Program of KC to celebrate the bright future of Kansas’s business community. I love meeting new constituents, and look forward to attending even more incredible community events in the coming months!
I kept up the momentum in August by introducing the Native American Voting Rights Act of 2021. This long overdue bill would guarantee equal access to the ballot box for Native Americans.
When I first heard about the Child Tax Credit , I knew it would be a program that would have a direct impact on Kansas families, which is why I voted in favor of it. Since the program rolled out, the CTC has put almost $150 million dollars back into the hands of Kansas families, and the difference is already showing.
