In May, a much smaller crowd than usual gathered for the eighth annual planting of sacred Ponca corn. Joining hosts Art and Helen Tanderup and family on the farm for this year’s socially-distanced corn planting were Bold’s Jane Kleeb, Tom Genung from Nebraska Easement Action Team (NEAT), Ponca Tribe of Nebraska Chairman Larry Wright, Jr. and a delegation from the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska’s Language and Culture Committee.
We hope you can join us for this year's harvest on Oct. 16, please remember to RSVP!
