Our constitutional rights have faced an all-out assault which has grown at an alarming pace throughout 2021. We cannot afford to let our guard down now.
Just days ago, First Liberty launched a new, major legal action against Alaska Airlines who has jumped on the anti-religious bandwagon in the name of so-called “equality.”
In a direct violation of federal civil rights law prohibiting workplace religious discrimination, the woke airline recently fired flight attendant Lacey Smith for expressing her religious beliefs.
When Alaska Airlines declared on its company’s internal message board that as a corporation it is supporting the “Equality” Act, it invited employees to comment. Acting on her sincerely held religious beliefs, Lacey responded to the posting on the messaging board by asking, “As a company, do you think it’s possible to regulate morality?”
Little did Lacey realize what would come next. For seeking clarification and attempting to engage in respectful conversation at the request of her employer, she was fired.
By firing this dedicated flight attendant, Alaska Airlines has joined the ranks of many other “woke” companies acting with hostility towards people of faith. But Lacey’s not backing down. She wants to strike a blow against “woke” corporations to hold them accountable for their actions so the same thing that happened to her doesn’t happen to you or someone in your family.
Coming forward as Lacey did takes courage. As her fight becomes more and more public, it is all but certain that she will be attacked and shamed by those who hate religious freedom.
But like most of those who turn to us for help, Lacey knows First Liberty will lead the fight to prove once and for all that religious discrimination doesn’t fly in America.
Woke “cancel culture” is rapidly taking over corporate America. With your support, we can defeat iIt!
Please consider a much-needed gift to First Liberty today. This special opportunity to double your impact for our nation’s foundational freedoms will be gone in less than 24 hours.
