It’s World Rhino Day and there’s awesome news to celebrate! With your help, we’re working hard to keep these vast vegetarians safe in Meru National Park in Kenya and not a single rhino has been killed by poachers in the last two years, thanks to the hard work of brave rhino rangers. In fact, Kenya Wildlife Service has announced zero rhino poaching across the entire country in 2020.

But this isn’t Kenya’s only rhino success story. There’s been an 11% increase from 1,441 rhinos in 2019, to 1,605 today – 855 black and 750 southern white. This includes 10 calves born in Meru – with over 100 individuals the park’s an important stronghold for Kenya’s growing rhino population.

With your help, let’s continue to turn the tide for these prehistoric plant-eaters – unchanged for 50 million years. You can help by adopting our The Rhino Family today.

ADOPT THE RHINO FAMILY TODAY!

Your kind adoption will help:

  • Maintain Meru rhino sanctuary's electric fence to keep both rhinos and the local community safe
  • Fund vital equipment to support our brave rhino rangers including solar power and water supplies
  • Born Free to campaign against hunting rhinos for sport and trade in rhino horns
