Since we started this movement to put our Country First following the repugnant January 6th attack, I've been laser focused on standing up for the truth and fighting to bring it to light.



And it may come as no surprise that being a truth-teller has made me a reviled man in many quarters, including Mar-a-Lago. I never imagined that upholding my oath to our constitution and boldly condemning the former president would get me, a relatively conservative guy, labeled a far-left socialist Democrat...



Which, really, would be truly laughable if it wasn't also such a sad reflection of the toxic tribalism in America, where "my side is good, your side is evil" has become the new normal.?



Too many have become so blinded by toxic tribalism (with neither side of the spectrum being immune) that they can't recognize simple right from wrong or fact from fiction.? It's America's?other epidemic.



But Country First gives me hope, and we already have the vaccine: the TRUTH.? Every single week, thousands of Americans discover this movement and join us.? We may not all agree on every policy, we may not all share the same politics, but we ALL know things will only get worse for our kids and grandkids if we don't make them better.

I can promise you this: Regardless of the threats to my career or safety, I will not back down to those trying to undermine our democracy and I will not be silenced. I will refuse to look the other way when anyone, including my own "team," does the wrong thing. I will continue telling it like it is, even if that makes some angry or uncomfortable. I will dare to put my Country before Party.

Here's what Country First is working on as we enter the Fall:



- Launching a viral video campaign to inspire new people to join the movement

- Keeping you informed and up to date on the 1/6 Committee with a Weekly Digest and opportunities to share your thoughts

- Providing financial and program support to nearly 50 university chapters, and developing local and state chapters throughout the country

- Looking for opportunities to fund viable primary challenges to the most toxic partisans in Congress

- Continuing, at every turn, to put Country First, over party and politics



In a democracy, the people can and should passionately disagree on policy.? The free and fair competition of ideas from multiple strong, sane parties has been what's allowed our nation to thrive for hundreds of years.? Today we see that system stressed like never before, and the only cure is the TRUTH.



We must break out of our corners, break out of our tribes, and break out of the 24/7 outrage machine playing on our fears.? Far too many leaders, from both parties, have failed the American people by simply refusing to tell the truth or failing to take accountability for their mistakes.



That won't change until reasonable people of goodwill get fired up and demand better.? America deserves nothing less... and this grand experiment will be in great peril until we get it.? Now, you and I may not agree 100% of the time, but you have my word that I'll tell you the truth and will always put our Country First.
