This is a longer email about how Republicans are using voter suppression to try to keep young voters out of the ballot box and tip elections in their favor. It’s critical that you know what’s at stake:

In states like Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, President Biden would not have won without record youth voter turnout. The same goes for Jon Ossoff and Rev. Warnock, who flipped two Senate seats from red to blue in Georgia thanks to record voter turnout.

Republicans know that their policy positions don’t hold favor with younger Americans -- which is why they’re executing a nationwide campaign of voter suppression to make it harder for young voters, students, and people of color to vote. 

Organizations like ours played a key role in engaging young voters around critical issues like climate change, gun violence, and the student debt crisis in 2020 -- and ultimately, we were able to get these voters to the ballot box and deliver a win for President Biden. 

In the 2022 midterms, we will use these battle-tested tactics once again to run ads, reach young Americans online, and overcome the GOP’s voter suppression campaign, but we’re going to need your support. Can you contribute $5 or more to help us execute our strategy and win in 2022?

Research and studies conducted after the 2020 election show that turnout increased among young voters in 2020 thanks to the efforts of organizers, elected officials, and trusted community members who reached out to young people to make sure that they were registered to vote and had a plan to cast their ballot.

Our plan is to use powerful Future Forum voices, including Eric Swalwell, Darren Soto, and Katie Porter, to make sure we can continue to get young people to the polls.
