OCTOBER 23, 2019: Seventy-eight percent (78%) of voters nationwide believe it’s accurate today to describe America as a melting pot where immigrants both help shape American culture and become part of American culture. A ScottRasmussen.com national survey ([link removed]) found that 86% think that concept is a good idea.[1] ([link removed])
For most voters, the melting pot has created the nation as we know it today. Sixty-four percent (64%) believe that our nation has a unique culture created and shaped by blending many varied and separate cultures over the years. Just 21% believe it is a white culture derived from our English heritage.
