We’re coming to you today with an exciting opportunity:

National Nurses United

So far, less than 10 percent of the population in low-income countries — and less than 4 percent of Africa’s population — are fully vaccinated. Around the world, millions of health care workers have not had their shots.

By contrast, studies project that the wealthiest countries will be sitting on a surplus of more than 600 million vaccine doses by the end of 2021. That is enough to give every adult across the African continent one shot.

This global vaccine inequity is completely unacceptable. Not only will it cause immense — and avoidable — suffering and death in low-and-middle-income countries, but it will prolong the global pandemic by allowing dangerous new variants to spread.

If you’re with us, join us for a special text bank and workshop to fight for global vaccine solidarity, co-hosted by our partners in the UK who have been fighting for health care justice.

Together, we’ll work to build the movement necessary to challenge corporate greed and ensure vaccine justice around the world.

Global Vaccine Solidarity Text Bank and Workshop

Will you join us and our activist partners in the UK on Sunday, Sept. 26, at 11:30am PT/2:30pm ET?

Together, we’ll take action to break out of the systems that created and are enforcing vaccine inequality.

The truth is, we can vaccinate the world right now. Countries in the global south have the capacity to manufacture and distribute Covid-19 vaccines, but pharmaceutical companies are blocking them, spending millions on lobbying to preserve intellectual property barriers — even though Covid vaccine development was largely publicly funded. No one should die for drug company profits.

At this text bank and workshop on Sunday, you’ll have the chance to take direct action alongside other volunteers in the UK fighting for health care justice, directly advancing our movement for global vaccine solidarity.

So what do you say — will you join us to learn about the path forward to ending vaccine inequity?

Thank you for standing with us. We’re looking forward to taking action with you on Sunday!

In solidarity,
