[1]Women's March
Hi John — it's
Kate! I'm your Organizing Director here at Women's March.
My team and I have been working around the clock to prepare for our big
day of action on October 2. We have 540 events planned in all 50 states to
rally for abortion justice — and we’re fired up to see how many of you are
stepping up to meet the urgency of the moment.
To be blunt with you, it takes significant resources and planning to put
together a mass mobilization like this. From supplying PPE like hand
sanitizer at our flagship march in Washington D.C., to giving our Sister
March hosts access to digital tools to help promote their events and
recruit volunteers — there’s a lot that needs to be done between now and
October 2.
So today I’m writing to you to ask for a favor: [ [link removed] ]Will you chip
in $3 or anything you can right now to help power our
organizing team as we prepare to march? We’re working to make this our
biggest day of action yet so we can send a loud message to anti-abortion
extremists that this movement isn’t backing down – and we’re relying on
donations from folks like you to pull this off.

These past years have taught us that there’s nothing more powerful — and
nothing more unstoppable — than organizing together for justice and our
feminist values.
I know because I’ve seen it happen up-close.
Last year, we announced that we were planning a mass mobilization in
response to the news that Donald Trump was rushing Amy Coney Barrett’s
confirmation to the Supreme Court before the election. Like right now,
hundreds of activists all across the country stepped up to plan marches in
their communities and fire up our movement to demand a new chapter in our
politics.
Now, we are called again to rally on October 2 to resist against the most
dire attacks on abortion access and our reproductive rights we’ve seen in
our lifetimes.
We need this same kind of grassroots response to match the urgency of this
moment and defend abortion access in our country. [ [link removed] ]If you’re ready to
rise up with us in this fight, please donate $3 or whatever
you can afford to support the Women’s March team — plus important budget
items like hand sanitizer, PPE, porta-potties, and jumbotrons — as we plan
this historic day of action.
