That’s a big number. And for the LGBTQ+ youth we serve, it’s an extraordinary number.

When schools shut down last year, 1.5 million individuals accessed GLSEN’s online resources. That’s countless downloads, views, shares, stories, successes—LGBTQ+ students who knew they were not alone.

As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded, LGBTQ+ students across the country were suddenly cut off from familiar and safe school spaces; their closest friends and GSAs; and supportive networks of teachers and allies.

Thanks to donor support, we didn’t miss a beat.

Your investment in GLSEN ensured we had the resources to act immediately. Your generosity made this possible.

We created online resources and provided support for virtual grassroots outreach to countless LGBTQ+ students experiencing uncertainty and isolation. We expanded and increased accessibility to our virtual trainings. And we responded in real-time to students and educators in need of resources.

As our country enters a new school year with evolving unknowns, GLSEN will continue to provide support and connection for LGBTQ+ students. This is our highest priority.
