Allies,

The fight to protect abortion access in the United States has intensified. Earlier this month, Texas enacted the most restrictive abortion ban in the country, ending almost all abortion care in the state.

Texas's ban is not the first attempt to eliminate abortion access in the U.S.—and it won't be the last. Since 2011, anti-abortion lawmakers have pushed more than 500 restrictive laws through state legislatures that make abortion difficult and, sometimes, impossible to access.

Texas's extreme abortion ban makes one thing abundantly clear: We need a federal law that protects the right to abortion in every state. The Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) is that law.

A vote in the U.S. House of Representatives is expected this Friday. Join us in calling on Congress RIGHT NOW to demand our lawmakers pass WHPA and take a stand for abortion access across the United States. Send a message to your representative now!

SPEAK OUT NOW

On December 1, we're headed to the Supreme Court for the third time in five years to defend abortion rights in a case that presents a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade. Yet even as Roe stands, the evisceration of abortion access is well underway.

Roe isn't and has never been enough. We need a federal legislative solution.

Ask your representative to vote YES on WHPA and protect access to abortion care. It only takes a minute to send the message, but you'll make a major impact.

Equal access to abortion care—EVERYWHERE—is essential for social and economic equality, reproductive autonomy, and the right to determine our own lives.

In solidarity,

Jackie Blank
Federal Legislative Strategist and Women's Health Protection Act Campaign Manager
