John,
GM has given $72,000 to re-elect the members of Congress who voted to reject one or more state’s election results.
If you think that’s outrageous, you can let them know right now. Click to tweet at GM, write them a message on Facebook, or send them an email.
Thousands of you have already signed CREW’s petition calling on GM to stop donating to insurrectionist members of Congress, but taking this next step makes our outrage even more clear to GM. These members need to renounce their seditionist votes and recommit to democracy—or GM shouldn’t support them.
Back in July, enormous social media backlash helped lead to Toyota agreeing to stop donating to re-elect the Sedition Caucus. GM has not sparked the same level of outrage—yet. But you can help us change that. By tweeting, posting on Facebook, or emailing them, you can make sure GM knows that their decision to donate tens of thousands of dollars to help re-elect the Sedition Caucus is unacceptable.
Want to help even more? Forward this email to a few friends and ask them to join you in reaching out to GM. Members of Congress who helped fuel the insurrection shouldn’t be getting re-election help from companies like GM—let’s make sure that message is heard, loud and clear.
Thank you,
Noah Bookbinder
President, CREW
