Last Chance: You can decriminalize all drugs and end the drug war
Friend,

I recently sent you an email asking you to become an official DPA member. If you haven’t already, please become a DPA member today, if you can.

Tonight, more than 450,000 people will be behind bars in U.S. prisons and jails for a drug offense. We can’t wait any longer. We must decriminalize drugs and invest in health-centered approaches to problematic drug use.

What does “decriminalization” mean exactly? It means you will no longer be arrested for what you put in your body or carry with you. It means choosing health instead of punishment. It means if you are struggling with drug use, you are given access to support not years behind bars. It means we can finally invest in health services instead of law enforcement and incarceration.

Friend, please join us and become a member, today! We must grow our ranks to increase the pressure on lawmakers to stop criminalizing us for what we put in our bodies. With enough members, lawmakers will listen.

It’s time! Decriminalizing drugs and investing in health-centered approaches is the most critical step we can take right now to end the drug war. You can help!

Please consider becoming an official DPA member today.
