 Friend -- The GOP is continuing their absolutely despicable assault against voting rights -- the core of our democracy. Texas just enacted a law that makes it harder for people -- especially people of color -- to vote. They're relentless in their attempts to take people's rights away and undermine the most crucial principles of a democratic society. We've got to be relentless too. That's why Senate Democrats introduced a new bill -- the Freedom to Vote Act -- to protect every American's right to vote. There's no reason anyone should oppose this bill, but we know Senate Republicans will do everything they can to destroy it. I need your help. I'm going to keep asking you to show your support for voting rights for however long it takes. This is that important.
The GOP has taken every opportunity to roll back voting rights. These actions, from state legislatures to the Supreme Court, are explicit threats on democracy. They know if they make it harder for people to vote, they'll win. That's not how a democracy works. Our new bill will stop their attacks on voting, end partisan gerrymandering, and get dark money out of politics. So we must keep fighting. However long it takes, we must keep defending democracy and voting rights. We must be relentless. Can I count on your support? Add your name to demand the Senate protect voting rights.
