Butch Miller wants to copy the new Texas law that bans abortions after six weeks -- before most people know they are pregnant -- and offers a minimum $10,000 “bounty” on anyone that helps someone obtain an abortion.
Let me be crystal clear: We cannot allow a handful of power-hungry radicals in our legislature to turn back the clock on our rights. And we cannot have a law on the books that turns neighbors, friends, and bystanders into bounty hunters.

Two years ago, Georgia narrowly passed a bill banning abortions after six weeks. Thankfully, it was blocked by the courts.
Now, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Butch Miller is “working with anti-abortion groups to write the legislation” that would put the ban in place regardless of the court’s order.
We all know that these laws don’t stop abortions -- they stop safe abortions. We know that in places with abortion restrictions, women still risk their safety and health to terminate pregnancies, leading to injuries, destitution, and death. There’s nothing “pro-life” about it.
