A tiny group of corporate Democrats are threatening to thwart President Biden’s agenda―standing in the way of legislation that would lower prescription drug prices, expand Medicare by adding dental, hearing and vision coverage, and take action to prevent the worst outcomes of the climate crisis. In many cases, these Democrats were elected by making promises to enact the exact policies they’re now blocking. Their voters deserve to know.
That’s why we’re running billboard trucks in the districts of Democrats who break their campaign promises, so that their voters can take action and demand that their representatives work for them instead of corporate donors. Sen. Kyrsten Sinema is threatening to bring down Joe Biden’s entire Presidency―and her constituents need to know it. In a Senate where every Democrat needs to stand together, she’s threatened to take down the entire Build Back Better plan to give a handout to Big Pharma:
Like the 3 Democrats in the House who blocked letting Medicare negotiate lower drug prices―a policy that every Democrat currently in office ran on―Sen. Sinema has received hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign donations from Pharma-aligned PACs. Senator Kyrsten Sinema’s constituents deserve to know that she’s threatening to vote no on the Democrats’ entire budget if it doesn’t preserve Big Pharma’s favorite loophole.
We’re putting Sen. Sinema on notice. Can you chip in $7 to fund a billboard truck in Arizona, letting Arizonans know that she’s betraying her campaign promises and fighting to keep their drug prices high?
We’ve already got a truck driving around Rep. Kathleen Rice’s Long Island, NY district already, and we’re launching one in Rep. Scott Peters’ San Diego, CA district as well, after they both voted to block President Biden’s plan to lower prescription drug prices in committee last week.
These trucks aren’t cheap, but they are effective. They get the attention of the national AND local media―and that’s the last thing these Democrats want. All we want is for them to fulfill their campaign promises and fight to lower prescription drug prices, expand Medicare, and tax the rich!
