We already knew this was a fight between Justice Democrats and corporate Democrats.

Justice Democrats

John,

In 2018, Senator Kyrsten Sinema ran an extremely competitive campaign on the promise of fixing the system to ensure Arizonans receive “quality and affordable health care.”

Tweet from then-candidate Kyrsten Sinema that reads We need to make health care more affordable, lower prescription drug prices, and fix the problems in the system – not go back to letting insurance companies call all the shots.

But now, she’s standing in the way and blocking a plan that would allow Medicare — not insurance or pharmaceutical companies — to negotiate lower prescription drug prices.

Corporate Democrat Kyrsten Sinema received $519,238 in political donations from the pharmaceutical industry, and now is the latest corporate Democrat standing in the way of drug pricing reform. She even said she doesn’t support an alternative being pitched by centrists that would limit the drugs subject to Medicare negotiation.

Big Pharma’s campaign contributions are about to ruin our best shot to protect patients, rein in corporate profits, and ensure all people have access to their prescriptions. Chip in to fight Big Pharma and the corporate Democrats like Kyrsten Sinema fighting drug pricing reform »

Fight Big Pharma

Sinema’s staff won’t even go on the record to talk about her position on the prescription drug measure. That’s because they know that she’s flip-flopped on this issue and is serving the interests of Big Pharma execs, not her constituents.

Millions of Americans who can’t afford their prescriptions are really counting on us to win drug pricing reform, and if Senator Sinema is going to stand in the way, we’re going to need to fight back.

We know that Big Pharma, and the corporate Democrats they fund, will do whatever it takes to stop drug pricing reform. But we can’t let them win. Chip in $3 to fuel the fight against Corporate Democrats and the industry interests they represent.

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats
