For too long, Big Tech corporations have abused their power as gatekeepers of information, communications, and commerce.

We’ve all seen over the past years how Amazon, Facebook, Google, and Apple have exploited their market dominance and our outdated antitrust laws to acquire and kill competitors, crush small businesses and news publishers, enforce draconian working conditions, and manipulate public discourse to undermine democracy and public health.

Big Tech corporations function as virtual monopolies with growing impunity to abuse workers, bully regulators, and antagonize customers. But there’s new bipartisan support to rein in Big Tech moving through Congress right now, but we need your help to get us across the finish line.

Here’s the thing: reining in Big Tech would help people across the country.

* It would help you: Big Tech corporations use their power to eliminate competition. For instance, Facebook has bought and buried businesses so they don’t have to compete for your money and attention. As monopolies, these companies have little to no incentive to protect your safety and privacy or address rampant misinformation and hate speech.

* It would help workers: Since the beginning of the pandemic, Big Tech has bought up more than 50 other companies and grown $3 trillion richer – all while workers struggled to survive. Reining in Big Tech would reinvigorate competition and reverse Big Tech’s race to the bottom across the economy, depressing wages, and workplace standards.

* It would help small business owners: Amazon’s chokehold on the digital economy for instance threatens small businesses by imposing high selling fees and limiting contact between the buyer and seller. Reining in Big Tech’s monopoly power would level the playing field for small businesses across the country.
