John,
Over the past week, the Take Back the Court community — along with countless others — has been commemorating the life of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It’s hard to believe she’s been gone for an entire year, but it’s clear to me that her loss is keenly felt by so many of us.
I’ve loved reading the myriad of ways Justice Ginsburg impacted the lives of everyone in this community. Here are just a couple of your amazing submissions:
RBG inspired me to (in her own strong and wise words) 'fight for the things you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.' I will honor her legacy by not giving up the fight for choice. –Donna, Cleveland, OH
Her work inspires my daughters to see that women are valued and can impact the world. –Dennis, Seattle, WA
Justice Ginsburg worked for Democracy as long as she could. Please do whatever is necessary to re-balance the Court. –Jo-Ellen, Brewster, NY
Justice Ginsburg always voted for and did what was right, not what the politicians were pushing for. –James, Mill Valley, CA
Thank you all for sharing your heartfelt reflection on Justice Ginsburg. Now, will you help fight to preserve her legacy today?

Now's not the time to feel helpless, now’s the time to act: we owe it to Justice Ginsburg to continue her fight for equal rights today. Until we expand the Court, the extremists on the bench will continue to ride roughshod over our rights and our democracy. There’s absolutely no time left to wait. We must expand the Court.
Thank you for joining us in this fight,

John,
Ruth Bader Ginsburg spent decades fighting to secure reproductive freedom for all Americans.
Honor her memory and help keep up that fight today.

One year on from Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death, the fight that she dedicated her life to is at extreme risk. The Supreme Court’s illegitimate right-wing majority has enacted cruel, sweeping, unpopular policy from the bench without so much as holding a hearing — and they’re just getting started.
Adding seats to the Supreme Court to restore balance to our judiciary is absolutely necessary if we want to protect and preserve abortion rights across the country. But until our leaders expand the Court, reproductive freedom and other civil rights and liberties will remain in danger.
I’m honoring Justice Ginsburg today by doing everything I can to keep the fight for the rights of all Americans alive. Will you join me?

Reflecting back on that fateful day one year ago when Justice Ginsburg died, I know I’m not the only one who felt pure, visceral dread. Not only had the world lost an incredible, tireless advocate for women’s rights, abortion rights, and other civil rights and liberties — but we all knew how Mitch McConnell, the Republicans, and their corporate donors would respond. After all, they’ve spent decades scheming to seize total control over the Supreme Court — even stealing a seat in order to do so — and with Justice Ginsburg’s death, they had a supermajority within reach.
The decisions this stolen Court has released over the past few weeks have been devastating, but they’re not surprising. And they’re just the beginning.
Without urgent action by our leaders in Congress and the Biden administration, the conservative zealots on the Supreme Court will continue to disregard precedent and the rule of law to enact the extremist, anti-democratic agenda they were put on the Court to push forward.
Justice Ginsburg fought until her dying day to combat this looming threat. Now it’s up to us. We must expand the Court — before it’s too late.
Contribute $5 to Take Back the Court today. We will not go backward.
Thank you for being in this fight today and every day,
Sarah Lipton-Lubet
