Let's get ready to canvass! Early voting in Virginia started Friday, September 17th, and making direct contact and conversation with Virginia voters is the most important thing we can do to re-elect Joshua Cole to his seat in VA-28 and to elect Briana Sewell to VA-51 (which is the seat Hala Ayala held until she decided to run to become the first woman elected as Lieutenant Governor of VA next year)! The hard work of reaching voters is ramping up NOW to keep Virginia blue.
We have several canvassing dates planned--feel free to sign up for however many you like!
Virginia democrats have achieved a great deal in the past few years--expanding Medicare to reach hundreds of thousands Virginians, protecting LGBTQIA rights, making voting easier, and more. As we've seen with the slashing of sexual and reproductive health and voting rights in Texas, state legislatures are the first battleground for so many of the rights, policies, and issues we hold most dear, and we want Virginia to keep doing their good work! Every door we knock on, every voter we talk to, helps advance this goal. Joshua Cole won his seat by just about 1,200 votes back in 2019 - so we know that voter turnout makes a HUGE difference!

Safety Protocols:
All participants MUST provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination on the day of the canvass. Please bring your state vaccination record or your vaccination card (photos are acceptable) to the canvass meeting site. We will all be masked, and will keep the car windows open for airflow.
Can't join us to door-knock? Reach voters through phonebanks!
You can still do the critical organizing work of reaching voters by joining our weekly Phonebanks on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8pm! Delegate Joshua Cole will be joining us this Wednesday, 9/22, as we make calls on his behalf - so don't miss out on this special phonebank session. Bring a friend and help us call as many Virginians as we can to let them know that they can vote early!
