It’s Melissa here. I wanted to write you a note with an update on my husband John’s campaign.

We’re only ten days away from the end-of-quarter deadline: our campaign’s biggest fundraising deadline to date. This is one of the most significant deadlines of the entire year, and it’s critical we meet it with strong fundraising numbers to show that John is the strongest candidate in this race for governor.

That’s why I’m asking if you’ll support John’s campaign with a donation today. With 10 days to go before the deadline, will you please chip in $10 or more now?

I’ve known John a long time, and I’m confident he is the right leader for Maryland at this moment. His bold vision to build a more equitable Maryland is grounded in a long history of public service and years of asking “How can we do better to serve our communities?” A progressive problem solver through and through, I’ve seen him work tirelessly to create solutions that make space for everyone at the table of opportunity, and I know that’s the commitment he’ll bring to fighting for real economic dignity and prosperity, environmental justice, affordable housing, and so much more.

I don’t particularly like asking for money. But I know we need a governor who will prioritize building a more equitable future, and to elect John our campaign needs to hit our fundraising goals. That way, we’ll have the resources to share John’s message with voters across the state to show how strong of a leader John will be for Maryland— and hopefully help them have their ‘click’ moment to support our campaign, too!
