John,

Over the past few years, we’ve seen Republicans
become more and more aggressive in their quest to restrict
women’s rights by eliminating the right to abortion in this
country. Now that they’ve secured a conservative supermajority on
the Supreme Court, they know they can go even further.

Texas
Republicans virtually eliminated access to abortion, and more
states could follow. Without any public discussion, the Supreme
Court used its shadow docket to allow this extreme Texas
Republican law to go into effect. This is why I’m fighting so
hard to reform our courts to avoid more rulings like this in the
future. Now more than ever, we need Congress to stand up and
protect reproductive rights before more states ban access to a
basic health care procedure.

Would
you sign my petition urging my colleagues to work with me to pass
legislation codifying reproductive rights into law? Women should
be free to control their own bodies. This is a basic human right
and we must protect it.
