It’s always right to fight for freedom and liberty – it’s never a lost
cause to do so.

This isn’t just GOC’s spin following the Newsom recall loss – it’s the
truth. Although the recall failed, we believe there are some solid
residuals (a bigger, more active volunteer base) that we will be able to
leverage in local races. Plus, the Left was forced to spend over $80
million to save Newsom’s job - GOC is not going to quit the war just
because we lost a battle.

And, Orange County’s Fairground operators are pushing back on SB 264, which
is currently sitting on the Governor’s desk. Big surprise that Senator Min
never bothered to discuss his legislation with those economically
impacted. Typical progressive! Out of the 20 bills GOC’s been tracking, the

LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

[1]SB 264 – Min (D) Bans gun shows at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

[2]SB 715 – Portantino (D) New requirements for youth hunting license
exceptions for adults age 18-21; it’s chock-full of “specified
exemptions” which will make the law difficult to navigate. Stay tuned.

Last minute sneaker: [3]AB 173 (budget trailer bill) “clarifies” the
process of disclosure of confidential information to the Firearm Violence
Research Center at UC Davis by the Department of Justice for “research or
statistical activities.” Language came from the failed AB 1237 (Ting-D)
which lets DOJ cherry pick who gets what private information.
