Good Evening Climate Activists,
Tomorrow is the final day for 350 Chicago’s Peer to Peer fundraiser to commemorate Zero Emissions Day! To donate, click on the Donation Page, choose an individual campaigner, and help them reach their personal fundraising goals.
We have a bit of work ahead of us to meet our goal of raising $3000. Can you help us reach and even surpass our target?
In our last email, we recounted the impact 350 Chicago has had in Chicago and Illinois. We are a member of the Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition, the collective that pushed the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act through the Illinois state legislature and was signed into law by Governor Pritzker.
We also outlined the continued efforts and progress toward winning our Fossil Fuel Divestment Campaign to remove fossil fuel assets from the City of Chicago’s operational budget. We recently met with the City Treasurer and feel confident in the response by Treasurer Conyears-Ervin’s office. We have a written ordinance, a sponsor in 49th ward Alderwoman Maria Hadden and many alderpersons have expressed support for divestment. We hope to have even better news soon!
To support 350 Chicago’s continued work, here is the link to choose either your one-time or monthly donation amount. Chipping in even a small amount supports our activities.
Your friends at 350 Chicago and the Fundraising Team would like to say thank you to all of our donors and the generous contributions each made during the fundraisers' duration.
Let’s finish with one last big push!
Best regards,
The 350 Chicago Fundraising Team
