I don't have to tell you there's a lot on the line in this election. With Senate control at stake, it's absolutely crucial that we defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley (R) next November. Two-thirds of Iowa voters have already said they're ready to show Sen. Grassley the door – making this our best chance in decades to flip Iowa blue.

But this is also an opportunity for a change in leadership we haven't seen in generations: to elect the youngest woman to the U.S. Senate.

I know this is no easy feat, friend, but I'm always up for a challenge. When I won in 2018, I became the youngest woman to flip a House seat from red to blue. Then, in my first two weeks on the job, I became the youngest woman to pass legislation through the U.S. House. Now – with your help – I can become the youngest woman to flip a Senate seat blue and serve in the U.S. Senate.

I'm ready to take on Sen. Grassley and flip Iowa blue – but with the GOP Senate campaign arm and Fox News already launching attacks against me, I'm falling short of tonight's $10,000 fundraising goal. Sen. Grassley has been in public office since before I was born. And right now, Washington is packed full of men like him who have been there for decades.

Meanwhile, women still make up only a quarter of the members in Congress, and we are seeing the consequences. Sen. Grassley and his colleagues have worked their entire careers to overturn Roe v. Wade. They voted against renewing the Violence Against Women Act. And they've fought against President Biden's agenda to expand childcare and universal pre-K.

Iowans deserve fresh, new leadership that will lift up their voices and their priorities. After 46 years in D.C., Sen. Grassley isn't that guy anymore. 

I’ve gone up against plenty of men who think they’re more experienced, more qualified, more fit to serve than I am. And I've beaten them. I've been underestimated before, but I outworked my opponents, focused on the issues, and won.

I know what the path to victory in Iowa looks like. Nobody’s going to work harder than I will to flip this state and keep the Senate in Democratic hands. But I also know what we're up against.

Last cycle, Iowa saw its most expensive Senate race ever. The GOP has already raised $28 million to take back the Senate, and they'll be spending heavily to keep Iowa red. 

I'm ready to take on Grassley, but it's going to take a grassroots movement to get there. So please, contribute $5, or whatever you can spare to elect the youngest woman senator, flip Iowa blue, and protect our Senate majority!
