The climate crisis is here, friend.

This summer, more than one out of three Americans has experienced a climate-related disaster. From the wildfires in California to the flooding we’ve seen right here in New York City, communities across the country are already feeling the devastating impacts of climate change. But it’s not hitting us all equally; working communities and communities of color are getting hit hardest and have the fewest resources to manage the crisis. 

I'm committed to finding solutions that not only mitigate the effects of climate change, but also ensure that every neighborhood has the infrastructure they need -- regardless of zip code. 

It’s unacceptable that, faced with these unprecedented conditions, many of my colleagues are still refusing to invest in climate resiliency.
