Dear Friend,
Congress is back from recess – which means it’s time to get back to work. Yesterday, the Senate parliamentarian announced that the $3.5 trillion budget package cannot include the framework for the millions of immigrants in America to become citizens. Despite this disappointing ruling, this is only the beginning and we are not deterred. The Democrats in Congress have committed to finding a pathway to full citizenship for Dreamers, TPSers, farmworkers, and essential workers.
Congress must deliver a path to citizenship for millions of immigrants who call this country home. We’ve waited patiently for them to come back from recess, and now that they’re back, they must get this done.
We’re taking it to the streets of D.C. to let Congress know that the pressure is on and they must get this done.
We hope you and your community will join us and our friends at We Are Casa [[link removed]] to show support for the critical need to keep these immigration provisions in the budget:
