The next addition to the NYCI Equality and Intercultural Programme Access All Areas Diversity Toolkit ([link removed]) is: Working with young people who are affected by homelessness ([link removed]) . This chapter looks at the needs of young people who have experienced, or who are at risk of, homelessness and offers examples of how youth services can meet their needs.

Annual Asembly update

At our recent members' annual assembly (AGM) we were delighted to welcome Dubheasa Kelly (Scouting Ireland) to her new role as President of NYCI and also Lucy O’Donovan (Irish Girl Guides), Greg Tierney (Crosscare), Derrie Dylan (Macra) and Mark Kavanagh (Young Fine Gael) to the NYCI Board. ** Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention Programme for Young People

** 3D printing for a sustainable world - competition

What does sustainability mean to you? Efficiency? Recycling? A better way of living? We are partnering with I-Form on this competition where they are inviting you to draw and describe your idea. The Wavelength Project
------------------------------------------------------------

Gaisce – The President’s Award is inviting expressions of interest from organisations [NGOs, charities, community groups, youth organisations or any service supporting the project age cohort] working with 18-25 year olds who are seeking asylum, have refugee status or have been resettled into new communities around Ireland to take part in Wavelength. Wavelength is an opportunity for young people to achieve a Gaisce Award. ** Wexford LGBT+ group
------------------------------------------------------------

Wexford LGBT+ Support works with young LGBT+ people up to the age of 25 through the provision of youth work and we deliver a range of LGBT+ programmes to this group. It is a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space for young people to come and be themselves. Group times are every Thursday from 17:30- 20:00 and no need to make an appointment, new faces always welcome! FDYS also offer a 1:1 support service that can be available by making an appointment either by contacting Emma [email protected] or by calling 053 9123262.


** Become a SpunOut.ie Ambassador

SpunOut.ie is currently accepting applications for their new volunteer, peer-to-peer support initiative, the SpunOut.ie Ambassador Programme. Ambassadors will complete a 4 day training this summer to become mental health workshop facilitators in secondary school and college settings. ** NUI Certificate in Digital Creativity in Youth Settings (Level 8) - Application Now Open

The certificate is a special purpose award designed for youth workers and educators who wish to develop a specialism, or advance their competence, in the emerging field of digital creativity and STEAM in youth settings. Nurturing Change-Makers, Imagining a Better World

Applications open for Creativity & Change Accredited Course! This accredited Special Purpose Award programme targets educators, change-makers, activists, artists, community workers, adult educators, youth workers, volunteers, and anyone who is interested how creative engagement can nurture global citizenship and empathic action around local and global justice themes.
