Today, I stood with nurses and healthcare professionals to accept the endorsement of the United Nurses and Allied Professionals. This marks the first major endorsement of the campaign, and we are honored to have the support of the 7,200 nurses and other healthcare workers the union represents.

During the pandemic, Rhode Island healthcare workers have heroically put themselves at risk to care for others. We all owe them a debt of gratitude, and we must do more to support them as they continue to care for all of us.

I look forward to working with these dedicated healthcare professionals to strengthen Rhode Island’s healthcare system, ensure quality, affordable care throughout the state, and provide more support to the healthcare workers on the frontlines.
