Running for Congress is everything I thought it'd be -- the fun parts and the tough parts. Meeting voters, hearing their stories and hopes for the future reminds me of how important this work is.
I'm ready to be a voice for tens of thousands of Long Islanders who've been left behind by Washington Republicans. We can take this seat back from people who'd rather play partisan games than drive a positive change in our lives.
But building a campaign capable of delivering the change we need isn't easy. It demands our undivided attention, our energy day in and day out, and until we win federal campaign finance reform: grassroots fundraising.
