John, This morning I woke up to the news that only 2% of COVID-19 vaccines have been made available to people living in low income countries. This is not only unjust, this is irresponsible. Add your name to our urgent petition if you agree: While rich countries continue to accumulate vaccines, they are leaving millions of people living in low-income countries vulnerable to the virus. This puts us all at risk of new variants prolonging the pandemic indefinitely. We all want the pandemic to end and there’s only one way out : getting vaccines everywhere. On Wednesday, President Biden will meet world leaders to discuss new measures to tackle the pandemic. This is our best chance to tell them that we will only accept bold and concrete action. John, add your name to our urgent petition asking all governments to adopt a global plan to vaccinate the whole world by 2022.

The petition reads: Dear President Biden and world leaders, We want the pandemic to end. With COVID-19 still raging globally and millions of people left vulnerable to the virus, inaction is not an option. We are urging you to adopt a global plan to vaccinate 70% of adults in all countries by September 2022 and end the pandemic everywhere once and for all. We now have proven solutions to defeat the pandemic everywhere. But with new variants emerging constantly, leaders must acknowledge that the only effective response to the virus is a global plan. If all countries work together, we can save lives, protect the most vulnerable, stop the spread of this deadly virus and get our lives back. Let’s not miss the opportunity.
