Pete's Update from the Campaign Trail

Biden Issues Unconstitutional Vaccine Mandate

Dear Friend,

I’m sure you, like me, were outraged last week when Joe Biden hastily
announced a new Covid-19 vaccine rule that would make it mandatory for millions
of workers to be vaccinated in order to work. Apparently he doesn’t remember
the promise he made in December whenBiden said he would never mandate

such a personal or professional overreach. Personal medical decisions should be
made between a patient and their doctor, not by bureaucrats demanding a vaccine
mandate. This is an unprecedented overreach by the federal government that must
be stopped.

Companies could see their doors shuttered if they are forced to pay fine after
fine if this new mandate is broken. Biden's order will could cost businesses
$14,000 for every violation on top of the cost and responsibility of getting
non-vaccinated workers tested weekly. Biden’s mandate is a complete and total
abuse of power and I’m confident that, if necessary, courts will find it
unconstitutional. This ridiculous executive order would trample on workers’
rights, abolish your medical freedom, and erode our individual liberty and I
will fight it every step of the way.

Pete’s Podcast: Friday Night Lights from St. Francis

Every Friday night in the fall there are dozens of high school football games
being played across the Great Eight. Last week, I was pleased to visit St.
Francis where the Fighting Saints were about to engage in the “Battle for the
Paddle” against the Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets. That night, on the eve of the
20th anniversary of 9/11, the high schools and their communities came together
to support our troops and emergency responders. Check out my podcasthere

9/11 not in schools

Earlier this month, our nation paused to honor the solemn and somber 20th
anniversary of 9/11, a day when radical extremists – terrorists – attacked our
country on our own soil and killed more than 3,000 Americans. For students in
high schools today, that day is history. It happened before they were ever
born. But did you know that 9/11 education is missing from Minnesota social
studies standards? Check outthis report

from the Center for the American Experiment here.

Where are the workers?

Did you know that half of our small businesses have unfilled positions?
According to the National Federation of Independent Businesses, an
unprecedented number of small businesses boosted wages to lure workers. Fifty
percent of firms had job openings they could not fill last month, up from July
and the largest share in monthly data back to 1986. A record 41% of
small-business owners said they raised compensation, which will lead to costs
being passed on to consumers through price hikes for goods and services,
creating further inflation. This is the result of Joe Biden economy where along
with Nancy Pelosi the government is paying workers to stay home. We must
restore the American spirit and revive the dignity that comes with working and
having a job; it’s an essential core to the American dream.

Sincerely,

Pete Stauber
