Last week, Republicans on the Ohio Redistricting Commission approved a four-year, gerrymandered district map that would let Ohio politicians choose their voters, rather than the other way around.

The new maps do not even come close to reflecting actual voters in the state and would give the Ohio GOP a veto-proof majority to ram through their agenda no matter what Ohioans want.

These maps are offensive to the Ohioans who voted for fair representation and a transparent redistricting process -- not once, but twice.

And that’s not all -- the Ohio GOP, like so many other GOP-controlled legislatures across the country, is advancing restrictive voting laws to try to silence voters’ voices and their constitutional right to participate in our democracy.
