Team,
Once again, elected officials from red states are lashing out at Ilhan -- this time with a debunked Islamophobic conspiracy theory.
Here's the hate speech a North Dakota Republican lawmaker posted on Facebook. Note that Ilhan isn't in the photo he shared. In fact, it was taken four years before she was even born:
"Congresswoman at Al' Qaida training camp in Somalia. She is trying to get this photo blocked. Share it everywhere."
Larsen doubled down on his Islamophobia by calling Ilhan an "elected terrorist" in the comments section. This targeting of Ilhan is not about facts or policy. This is an elected official spreading a racist conspiracy theory to stoke hate and encourage violence against someone who doesn't look like him.
Ilhan came to Congress to stand up to this kind of bigotry. Every day, she's working to repeal the Muslim ban, end Trump's inhumane immigration policies, and stop the spread of white supremacist propaganda on platforms like Facebook.
Ilhan will never stop standing up to hate -- but she needs your help to fight back against these attacks. Will you rush a donation to her campaign today? Donate here: [link removed]
