A CNN poll released last week showed that 59% of self-identified Republicans say “believing that Donald Trump won the 2020 election” is important to what being a Republican means to them.
Just think about how ridiculous that is for a moment. A majority of the Republican base believes the 2020 election was stolen from them. This belief undermines our institutions and even the foundation of our democracy.
No one has done more than Jim Jordan to push Trump’s Big Lie.
He was spewing Donald Trump’s conspiracy theories about the election for months before November 3rd. He led the charge of 147 Congressional Republicans in voting to overturn the 2020 Presidential election results and his actions fueled the violent attack on the Capitol.
Even now, he continues to deny that President Biden won in a free and fair election.
Donald Trump’s path back to the White House depends on delegitimizing our democracy. And Jim Jordan and the rest of Trump’s enablers have already convinced the Republican base that our elections are corrupt.
We must vote all of Donald Trump’s enablers out and show the former president he doesn’t have the support to run for office again. It’s essential we put a stop to their lies and restore America's faith in our democracy
