Hi friend,
Did you get Katie's email? Some lawmakers are relentlessly pursuing their bogus "election audit" charade by gearing up to potentially spend millions of your tax dollars AND risk an identity theft catastrophe involving 7 million Pennsylvania residents' highly sensitive, personal information.
As much as we'd love to ignore this attempt to undermine our free and fair elections, our right to vote is just too important. We need to fight back against this blatant power grab, but the truth is we just don't have enough resources.
We need our members to stand with us to protect the right of every single eligible voter to make their voices heard. Will you pitch in right now to help us maximize our impact? Every bit helps >>
Thank you, friend. Members like you make our campaigns possible — and we're counting on you in moments like this.

Hi —
State Republican lawmakers voted yesterday to subpoena information on all registered voters in the state, including driver’s license numbers and portions of social security numbers.1
These are the very same lawmakers who refuse to use American Rescue Plan funds to prepare our towns for storms and floods — who refuse to listen to doctors and keep us safe during this pandemic — and who refuse to listen to scientists and take action to address the climate crisis and create new good-paying jobs in clean energy.
If there wasn’t a very real danger in 7 million people’s sensitive information getting made public, we’d chalk this up to political shenanigans. But, if you’re registered to vote, this is your private information we’re talking about.
The attack on our right to vote has dragged on far longer than we planned, and we didn’t budget for this fight. Will you rush us an emergency donation right now to help fight this and other attacks coming out of Harrisburg?
This subpoena is just one part of a massive effort to cast doubt on the integrity of Pennsylvania’s elections and make it harder for people to vote. Like most regressive policies, it will be people of color, young people, and low-income people whose voices will get left out if we don’t fight back against these attacks on our democracy.
And while these politicians push their absurd agenda, Pennsylvania has real problems that need to be addressed: an ongoing pandemic and keeping schools open, devastating flooding from climate change, and millions struggling to make ends meet and provide care for their families.
That’s why we’re taking on their bald-faced lies and investing in fights that REALLY matter.
First, while we have pro-environment leadership in Washington, we’re pushing hard to pass the multi-trillion-dollar infrastructure plan that will bring this country jobs, justice, and a clean energy future. If we can’t get Pennsylvania lawmakers to invest in fighting climate change, we need to win this fight in DC.
Second, we’re working with allies to fight for policies to make it easier to vote in PA — early-in person voting, automatic voter registration, and letting county officials pre-canvass mail-in ballots — while also fighting for the pro-environmental policies to protect our water, air, and public lands.
Third, we’re supporting candidates in critical judicial races this fall to ensure our courts continue to be a backstop against these attacks on our right to vote.
Mobilizing our members for federal legislation, keeping the pressure on state lawmakers, and talking to voters, takes significant resources. Friend, can we count on you to chip in with a donation TODAY? Thank you,
Katie Blume Political Director Conservation Voters of PA
